POLYWALL is suitable for use on both interior and exterior cement-based surfaces. Apply the first coat using a putty blade or trowel in upward strokes, starting from the bottom of the wall. Once the first coat has dried completely, apply a second coat to achieve the final finish. The total thickness of both coats should not exceed 1.5 mm. After complete drying, lightly sand the surface using fine emery paper to remove any application marks. The prepared surface is then ready to receive any type of paint—distemper, emulsion, or enamel.

Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, and loose paint. Use a sandpaper or wire brush to thoroughly clean the surface. Before applying putty, lightly dampen the wall with clean water to ensure it is in a saturated but “touch dry” condition.

Treatment of New Surface
New plastered surfaces generally require only mild cleaning to remove loose dust and dirt. Any cracks, pinholes, or damaged areas should be repaired using white or grey cement before applying POLYWALL.

Treatment of Old Surface
For old painted or weathered surfaces, remove all loose particles, peeling paint, and any organic growth using a putty blade or stiff brush. Roughen glossy paint surfaces with coarse emery paper or stone to create a sound base for POLYWALL adhesion.

Preparation of XL WALL PUTTY Paste
POLYWALL is supplied as a fine dry powder. Gradually add approximately 40% clean water by volume to the powder while stirring slowly to prepare a paste of workable consistency. Mix thoroughly for 5–10 minutes to obtain a smooth, lump-free, uniform paste. Only prepare quantities that can be used within 2–3 hours of mixing.
